FOUNDATIONS Fall of 2010

Hello, I've started this blog for one of my first courses that I'm taking for a graduate interior design program at GWU. I like this idea of storing artwork though, so it will continue past the semester. Since attaining my BFA in Illustration at Pratt Institute, I feel like my art and design skills have matured considerably, and I look forward to share my point of view.

Before we began our first class, we picked out of a bag an object we'll be working with for the remainder of the semester. My object was "pens and stationery". As much as I enjoy hand writing letters and communicating by hand-mail, I was daydreaming more about the fluidity of how and where these letters go. My thought process led me to a paper map as my object. Paper maps are becoming a dieing object as well, but not quite. I look forward to the upcoming projects. Have much to learn!
